MARCUS ALAN "MARC" JOHNSON age 38, of Boiling Spring Lakes, Southport, NC passed away on Saturday the twenty sixth of November, 2016. Marc was born on the fourteenth of April, 1978 in Wilmington, NC and was the son of Donald M. and Valerie Harper Johnson of Boiling Spring Lakes and the Villages, FL. Marc attended South Brunswick High School where he was an avid golfer. While in his freshman year the SBHS golf team won the state title. He was the catalyst for getting his father involved in the sport. Always being the outgoing guy that he was, he also played football for two years and placed third in the state culinary competition while in high school. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Marc had worked for the Sandfiddler Restaurant as well as St James Plantation where he worked for twenty years in various positions in the organization. While at St. James he culminated many enduring relationships that will forever be fondly remembered. He was also the owner/operator of Shoot-2-Clean Pressure Washing. Preceding him in death are his paternal grandfather, Kenneth D. Johnson; maternal grandparents, Milton N. and Lucy L. Harper (Ocean Isle Beach, NC); aunt, Evelyn Mae Johnson; uncle, Norris A. Johnson; maternal grandfather, Robert J. Pinkley. Survivors include his parents, Donald and Valerie Johnson; paternal grandmother, Joan Parsons Johnson affectionately known as Me-Maw; an uncle, Dwight Pinkley and wife Adele of McLean, VA, maternal grandmother Helga Pinkley of Columbus, GA; an aunt, Ramona Jones and husband Ken of Callahan, FL; special friends, Kevin Clemmons, Nolan Black and Becky C. Jones. Many other friends that are too numerous to name. He also had special first cousins, Tara, Sophie, Jillian, Jenna; three great aunts, Doris, Norma, Lillian and their families; and a host of friends and acquaintances from the St James Community. You are cordially invited to a gathering with the family from six o'clock in the afternoon until seven fifteen in the evening in the White Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel, Bolivia/Supply with refreshments and light hors-d'oeuvres being served. A celebration of life and time of sharing Marc's life story will follow at seven thirty in the evening at the funeral home chapel, 603 Ocean Highway, East, Bolivia, NC 28422.
