Marcia A. Bailey, 73Marcia A. Bailey, 73, of Lafayette, formerly of Brookston, passed away at 1:17 PM, on November 18, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East of Lafayette. She was born on April 12, 1943 in Badger Grove to the late Leonard and Leota (Thomas) Matthews. She was a 1961 graduate of Battle Ground High School.Her marriage was to Warren Bailey on October 10, 1992 in Lafayette, IN. He survives. Marcia was a culinarian at Purdue University in Harrison Hall until her retirement after 24 years. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, working her fudge and caramel apple booths at the Apple Popcorn Festival, baking birthday treats, traveling, collecting birdhouses, and her dog Sophie. Most of all, Marcia Loved Spending time with her 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She rarely missed any sporting events, 4-H, or other activities the grandchildren were involved in. Marcia was a member of Church Alive of Lafayette and Vinton Extension Homemakers club of Tippecanoe County.Surviving along with her husband are children, William "Bill" (Jody) Morgan of Brookston, Keith (Pat) Morgan of Brookston, Jeff (Tammy) Morgan of Brookston, and Rhonda Morgan of Brookston; step-children, William "Bill" Bailey of Maryland and Linda King of Lafayette; a sister, Janet (Louie) Capper of Brookston. Marcia is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren whom she cherished.She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Leota Matthews and a sister, Linda Wood.Friends may call from 4-7 PM (EST) Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM (EST) Wednesday November 23, 2016, also at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home. Pastor Owen Mason of Church Alive to officiate.
