Marcella P. Salazar, 92, a lifetime resident of Las Vegas passed away on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016 in Las Vegas.She was born on April 21, 1924 to Miguel Patron and Erenfora Vigil Patron in Las Vegas.She was a nurse attendant for 23 years at the New Mexico State Hospital. She also worked at the Jay Val Parachute Factory and La Loma Hotel in the laundry department. She loved to pray, work on word search puzzles and watch TV.She was a Catholic, a member of Immaculate Conception Church.She was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Erenfora Patron; husband, Aurelio Salazar; infant daughter, Isabel Salazar; infant son, Henry Salazar; daughter, Irene Cruz; brothers, Eduvigen Patron, Miguel Patron and Joe Patron; sisters, Mary Sena, Dolores Kavanaugh and Stella Perea; grandson, Eric Salazar; step-daughter, Helen Salazar and step-son, Joe Salazar.She is survived by her sons, Miguel Salazar of Taos, Robert Salazar, Antonio Salazar and wife, Debbie, all of Las Vegas; daughters, Linda Benavidez and husband, Jerry, Patricia Bolivar, all of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Miguel, Andres, Irene, Mark, Dominic, Anthony and wife, Valerie, Monica, Inez, Ricky, Antoinette, Judy, Peggy, Diane, Jessie, Joe Jr., Lucy, Denise, Diedra and Michael; great-grandchildren, Jason, Noah, Alicia, Tristen and Lauren; numerous other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.Rosary service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Las Vegas. Funeral service will be held following the rosary with Father George V. Salazar.
