Marc Steven PonceJune 22, 1967 - November 27, 2015Marc Steven Ponce, 48, of Nampa, passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2015. Marc was born on June 22, 1967 in Palo Alto, California. He was the oldest of 3 boys. In 1969 he moved with his family to Tulare, Ca. where he attended school through 3rd grade. The family moved to Nampa in 1977. Marc attended Sunnyridge Elementary, South Junior High and graduated from Nampa High School. Through high school and several years after, he worked with his dad at Dave's Quick Lube. He worked at several area restaurants developing his cooking skills. He then worked at Gowen Field officers club eventually managing the kitchen and catering events for several years. He then went to work for Boise Muffler until July of 2014 when he was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. Marc was preceded in death by grandparents Juan Rojas and Tadao and Michi Yoshida. Marc is survived by his parents David and Estella Yoshida; daughter Marquis (Guido) Acheson; grandson Jaxson Acheson; brothers Christopher Ponce and Bob Yoshida; grandmother Beatrice Rojas; uncles Michael (Heather) Rojas, Ramon (Tina ) Rojas, Robert Rojas, Frank Rojas; aunts Esther Rojas and Elizabeth Rojas; and nephews Robby Yoshida and Ry Lambert and niece Kasidy Lambert; aunts Barbara (Ed) Berthiaume, Ann (Rick) Costello; uncle Bruce (Carrie) Yoshida; numerous cousins; and a very special friend and companion Julie Wojtach.The family would like to thank St AI's Hospice team-Connie, Wendy, Trina and Karen for their wonderful care and support. We would also like to thank Valley Medical for their prompt and efficient service.
