Ash, Magdalene M. RobertsMagdalene Marie "Maggie" Roberts Ash, age 93, died peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Appleton.Maggie was born on May 22, 1923 the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Van Dinter in Appleton. Following her education Maggie worked at Zwickers Knitting Mill of Appleton for 22 years as a mender. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Appleton, and enjoyed working in the Family History Center of the church. Maggie loved the Lord with all of her heart. She enjoyed family, traveling, life and loved to write poems and crochet.Maggie is survived by her five children, James (Beverly) Roberts, Robert (Toni) Roberts, Charles (Donna) Roberts, Allen (Kathryn) Roberts and Sheila Roberts, 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Antoinette (John) High. Maggie was also preceded in death by her two husbands, Vernon Roberts and Dean Ash and two brothers, Don and Gilbert Van Dinter.A memorial service will be held today at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 425 W Park Ridge Avenue, Appleton. Maggie's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday (today) following the service during the fellowship time. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for the church.
