Madeline Putnam Wright, 85, passed away on October 31, 2016 in Lincolnton, NC. She was born on November 19, 1930 to Earnest and Maybelle Putnam in Shelby, NC. She was raised by Reverend WC and Alma Lynch in Rutherfordton, NC. She attended Rutherfordton High School and Mars Hill College. She served in the U.S. Air Force. She has lived in Charlotte since 1955. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Smith and husband, Joe, of Denver, NC and son, William Wright Jr. and wife, Stacy, of Lincolnton, NC. She has 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her foster sister, Elsie Hamrick of Bat Cave, NC.As per her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service. Goodbye to all.
