Mac Duane OrisonAugust 30, 1922 - September 6, 2014Mac Duane Orison,92, passed away on September 6, 2014 at his daughter's home in Heber City, Utah. He was born on August 30, 1922 in Arbon, Idaho, a son of Charles Henry Orison and Jean Ann McNeil.He attended the Highland District Number 12 School in Arbon, Idaho until the eighth grade. His family moved to Logan, Utah where he graduated from Logan High School in 1941. After completing a year of studies at Utah State Agricultural College, he was drafted into the United States Army. He served in the Coastal Artillery during World War II for over three years-two of those in the Aleutian Islands.He married Jewell Anderson on November 20, 1943, in Sandy Hook, New Jersey. After the war, they settled in Nibley Utah and were parents to six children. They were later divorced.Mac worked for Mineral Fertilizer Company for thirty-one years and also farmed in Arbon Valley until 1975. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On May 31, 1991, Mac married Ardella Davis Williams and they resided in Pocatello, Idaho. Mac cherished their sixteen years together before Ardella passed away on September 16, 2007. Mac is survived by his two sons: Kim (Miles) Orison, Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and Randy (Shauna) Orison, Farmington, Utah; two daughters: Julie Ann (Norman) Heber City, Utah, and Jennifer Orison of Salt Lake City, Utah. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and twenty- seven great- grandchildren. His nephew, Ted Anderson, lives in Pocatello, Idaho.He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Arch, Charles, and Dale; two sisters: Virga and Jean; two sons: Danny and Ricky, and his wife, Ardella.Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 10, at 1:00 pm at the Logan Utah Cemetery.
