As summer set in June of 1953, the 27th day was exceptional as Lynn Elizabeth Rose made her debut into the world. Lynn departed this life while the dew was still fresh on the roses, October 28, 2017.
While she was born and reared in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania her parents, the late Arthur and Margaret Rose, hailed south of the Mason Dixon line and made a decision to make the Mid-Atlantic part of the country their home. The Rose family was full of good times and lasting memories with Lynn, Barbara, Wayne, Janet, Gail and Patricia as the offspring of their parents.
After her formal secondary education, Lynn put her sights on higher education where she took pen to paper to hone her skills in management. The earned Associates’ Degree was her pride and afforded her a career in the American workforce.
Lynn held a deep affection for horses, film and books - she LOVED to read. As a young woman Lynn held an affinity for westerns on television and film alike. She fell in love with America’s sweetheart actress, Doris Day and the western series, Bonanza. Her adventurous side led her to always want to travel and because of this, she had a unique impression of humanity.
Those who had the pleasure of putting their feet under her dining room table would relish in her culinary delights. Folk would wait with tip-toe anticipation for her famous seafood salad. She taught her grandchildren how to cook and often participated in “Pancake Wars” with her grandson Eric.
Lynn was not built to break, strong minded and strong willed, she loved and cared deeply for others. She was preceded in death by her sister Janet Rose and her son Kyle Rose. She cherished her children- her daughter Qeisha Rose-Davis (Eric), son Robert (McKayla) and her precious grandchildren- Kyle-Michael Rose, Eric Davis, Jr., Cheyenne Davis , Enzeya Rose and Vailen Rose (her Lil’ Man). She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews – all of whom she loved dearly.
Lynn cultivated a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She found in God a treasured friend and has been a daughter to Him as He has been a Father to her for the last 64 years.
A handful of people leave an impression on the world, and the late Lynn Elizabeth Rose landed awesomely and will be missed.
