Muck, LyleLyle F. Muck, 91, Green Bay, was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. Lyle was born on August 5, 1925, to the late Fred and Leona (Pankratz) Muck in Oconto Falls, WI. The family moved to Green Bay in 1929. Lyle graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1943. He was a proud WWII Veteran, having served in the European Theater of Operations with the U.S. Army 8th Armored Division from January 1944 to April 1946. He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, the European Theater Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Lyle returned to Green Bay and worked for Atlas Cold Storage while he attended the vocational school where he studied cheese making and dairy science. Upon graduation, he was employed by Schreiber Foods as a cheese grader for 40 years. He also worked part-time at Northside Bowling Alley for over 25 fall/winter league bowling seasons. Lyle married Eunice Milewski on August 9, 1947, at First Methodist Church in Green Bay and together they raised three children. They enjoyed spending time with family and camping.Lyle is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lynn M. (Muck) and David L. Dexter; grandson, Christopher L. Dexter; granddaughter, Stephanie L. (Dexter) Porod and her husband, George Porod III; great-grandsons, Christopher Dexter Jr., Zachary Porod and Seth Porod, all of Green Bay; grandsons, Thomas Glasl, Japan and Dan Glasl, Tustin, CA; great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Chamberlin, Janesville, WI; sister-in-law, Lavern Muck; brother-in-law, Patrick Milewski both of Green Bay and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special loved ones he considered family; Mary Cumbers, Cindy Roley, Cameron, Teale and Pierson O'Connell and Julie Sims.Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eunice; sons, James A Muck and Wayne D. Muck; sister, Beverly (Muck) Francken; and brother, Donald Muck.Visitation will be at First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe St., Green Bay, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at church with Rev. Dave Wilkinson officiating.
