DURAM, Lydia Jane Lydia Jane Duram was born on March 17, 1930 in Lustre, Montana. She was the 3rd of 7 children born to John and Anna Schauer. She was called home on December 5, 2016. She graduated from Simms High School, Simms, Montana in 1949 and upon graduation she received a Heisey Award for Outstanding Achievement. She attended Margaret Hood School of Beauty in Great Falls, Montana after graduation. She married Doc Duram on October 6, 1951 and they were married for 63 years. She worked as a beautician in Great Falls, Alabama, and California during Doc's different tours of duty in the Air Force. They had only one child, James John Duram. She attended business college in Everett, Washington. Worked at Nott Atwater Company for 12 years and Damon & Ellingsen for 17 years until retirement. She has been an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church since 1973 and has served in various capacities. A Den Mother in their Scouting program, served as a Lamplighter for Aid Association of Lutherans; served as President of their Altar Guild for 22 years. She loved her church and her church family. Her Faith was an integral part of her life, and was willing to serve wherever and whenever she was needed. Lydia is survived by her son, James John Duram (Mary), two grandchildren Jason (Angela) and James, three great-grandchildren Haley, Jacson, and Jayce; one brother Rocky Schauer and one sister, Jody Howald, also numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, December 17th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, P.O.
