Lucy Dianne AndersonDestin, FL - Mrs. Lucy Dianne Anderson, age 66, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017. She was born on November 21, 1950 in Ponce de Leon, Florida, to Clarence L. Prater and Clydie Blondell Neese Prater. Mrs. Anderson was a resident of Destin, Florida, formerly of Candler, North Carolina. She was Baptist by faith, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Liberty. She graduated from Paxton High School in 1968. She attended Florida State University. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She owned and operated Anderson Dental Lab along with her husband Hershel for 40 years in Asheville, North Carolina. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her father and mother; her husband of 47 years, Hershel Anderson; son, Ty Jared Anderson; brothers, Roy Prater, Lewis Prater, Cecil Prater, Alvin Prater, L.S. Prater, Lamar Prater, Pete Prater, and Waldo Prater; sisters, Alice Faye Wood, Mavis Llewellyn, Shirley Jordan, and Lillian Branch. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her three sons, Robbie Ted Anderson, Mark Stuart Anderson both of Asheville, North Carolina, and Lucas Justin Anderson of Destin, Florida; two brothers, Clarence Prater and wife Laura of Pensacola, Florida, and Toby Prater and wife Karen of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; two sisters, Dorothy Palmer and Brenda Hall and husband Rick, both of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; and four grandchildren, Kylie Grace Anderson, Cole Orrin Anderson, Kloyee Margaret Anderson, and Luke Justin Anderson. A time of visitation will be held from 5:00 ~ 6:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Liberty, 6775 US Highway 331 North, DeFuniak Springs, Florida, 32433, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 10, 2017 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1 Chapel of Faith Drive, Candler, North Carolina 28715 with Reverend James Walker and Reverend Joel Glenn officiating.
