Lucille Lindley BullWest ColumbiaLucille Lindley Bull, 96, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 with family at her side. She was born on December 19, 1920 in Greenville County to the late William Walter and Pauline Jenkins Lindley. She married the love of her life, Fred A. Bull, Jr. on February 14th and enjoyed over 58 years of happy marriage until death separated them on July 30, 2006.Lucille was a graduate of Ellen Woodside High School in Greenville, SC. Prior to her marriage; she was employed as an information operator and later in the business office of Southern Bell before becoming a dedicated homemaker.Known for her quiet, understated elegance, she epitomized the definition of "A True Southern Lady", and she was admired and beloved by all who knew her. Always an avid gardener, she was a longtime member of The Greenville Garden Club, winning numerous awards.She is survived by her loving children, Lynda G. Bull and M. Brad Bull of West Columbia; a sister, Mary Sue Barbrey of Mauldin, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.She was passionate in her love for her Lord and Savior. Always completely attentive to the needs of her family and friends, she was also a faithful and devoted member of West Side Baptist Church since 1965 where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.This beautiful lady will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at West Side Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Entombment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Reverend John McKeown and Reverend Clinton Lawyer will officiate.
