Edinburg - Lucia "Lucy" P. Torres, 87, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on Tuesday, October 1, 1929 in Aguililla, Michoacan, Mexico to Jesus Patino and Eloisa Anguiano. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Roberto Torres, daughter; Hilda Luz Delgado and son; Juan Jose Torres.Left to cherish her memories are her children; Froilan (Enriqueta) Torres, Ema Torres, Roberto (Imelda) Torres and Martin (Olga) Torres, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Lucy always remained very active by walking, crocheting, cooking, playing bingo, arts & crafts and spending time with her plants. She lived in Edinburg most of her life and attended Pride & Joy Adult Day Care. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all those whose lives she touched. We will always remember her beautiful smile and love for life.Her family will receive friends today, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home, 322 East Kuhn Street in Edinburg. Christian services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home. Christian burial will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pharr. Having the distinguished honor to serve as pallbearers will be: Froilan, Roberto, Martin, Ema and Imelda Torres, Dylan and Estevan Fitzpatrick. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ceballos-Diaz Funeral Home in Edinburg.
