Louise Hawkins, 88, passed Monday, July 16, 2018. Louise was born to John Etoy Pierce, and Barbara Jean Staffney, June 23, 1930, in Alabaster, Alabama. 

Early in life, she was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev Chism and later Rev, Norris, where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

Louise graduated from Thompson High School. She married William Howard Hawkins. Louise worked at the University of Montevallo for thirty years. She was affectionately known as "Mother Hawkins". Many have sought her out for prayer, counsel and loving arms as support in difficult times. She has been a light and a beacon to those around her: SO Kind, So Affectionate, So Loving, So Thoughtful. Some call her ''The Queen".

She made her triumphant entrance into glory on July 16, 2018, at Baptist Shelby Center in Alabaster, Alabama

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories;3 children: Willaim Hawkins Jr. (Wanda Hawkins), Lorna Hawkins, and Bridget Green (Warren Green). She also is survived by 5 grandchildren. Lorna Patton(Antwan Patton), Joycelyn Fitts(El'darereco Fitts), Makayla Hawkins, Crystal Tolbert, Keilya Tolbert.
