This obituary is administered by:
Louise Miller Tiffany, age 97 of Susquehanna, died on Thursday, January 14, 2016 in the Barnes Kasson Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Susquehanna. She was born on December 7, 1918 in Susquehanna, the daughter of the late Allan D. Miller and Ethel Whitney Miller. Married to J. Lee Tiffany, she had three children. An area resident all her life, she was a member of the Susquehanna Methodist Church and a proud lifelong member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. Mrs. Tiffany graduated from the Susquehanna Community High School and attended Mansfield University; she was a stay at home mother while her children were young. Later she served as the business manager for the Susquehanna Community Schools Cafeterias and was proud of successfully selling the family owned propane business after the death of her husband, J. Lee (Jack) in 1983. After her retirement she devoted her time to her family and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Miller Kane, and several cousins. Survivors include one son, David (Margaret) Tiffany of Fredonia, N.Y., and two daughters, Nancy (Dr. Warren) DeWitt and Lynn (Roland) Salamon, both of Susquehanna; also seven grandchildren, David (Michele) Tiffany Jr. of Greencastle, Katherine Tiffany of Clementon, N.J., Ellen DeWitt (Dylan Pillsbury) of Dos Rios, Calif., Carrie Louise DeWitt (Jamie Simchik) of Boston, Mass., Kathryn DeWitt (Tyler Phillips) of Susquehanna, Emily (Brian) Bulman of East Norriton, and Leah (Juan) Curry of Uniontown; nine great grandchildren; Sheena Savani, Zach and Abi Tiffany, Takoda and Nolly Pillsbury, Quinn and Jack Bulman, Julia and Christian Curry; and one great great grandson, Tyross Savani. Special thanks to Wanda Peska, Kathy Borowicz and Jeorganne Darling who made it possible for her to stay in her own home until six months before her death. Our very heartfelt thanks to Dr. P. Patel and the entire staff of the Skilled Nursing Facility who gave her such loving care while she was a resident there. She was fortunate to have such special people surrounding her every day. Contributions in Louise's memory may be made to Barnes Kasson Skilled Nursing Facility, 2872 Turnpike St. Susquehanna, PA 18847. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
