Louis F. Petz RACINE Louis F. Petz, 82, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints on October 10, 2014. He was born on June 26, 1932 in Ingalls, Michigan to Andrew and Mary (Kiesley) Petz. He was united in marriage to Mary Louise Kircher on April 8, 1957, in Waukegan, Illinois. He started his career as a machine operator at several different manufacturing companies. He was employed at Master Appliance, Modine, J.I. Case Co., and George Meyer Mfg. Co. in Swainsboro, Georgia, as plant superintendent. Louis worked his way up to plant manager at Great Lakes in Muscoda, Wisconsin. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the
Korean Conflict, on the destroyer, USS Saufley. He received his education in Michigan and Wisconsin and held a two year college degree. Louis loved his motorcycle and rode up until he was 79 years old. He was a member of the American Legion and a past member of the
Moose Club. Louis is survived by his son, Raymond (Dawn) Petz; his daughter, Louanne (Gerry) Kozlik; three grandchildren, Ryan and Jason Kozlik and Jarod Petz; two great-grandchildren, Elaina and Nathan; and one brother, Ernest Petz of Racine. He is also survived by his significant other half, Monica Herritz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, on April 27, 1997 in Blue Mounds, WI; his parents; his sisters, Anna and Mary; his brothers, Frank, Steve, George, and Andrew. Funeral services for Louis will be held at Miller-Reesman Funeral at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Visitation for Louis family and friends will from 5-7 pm, until time of services, and on Wednesday, October 15, from 10:30-11:30 am at the funeral home. Full military honors and internment will immediately follow at the Southern Wisconsin
