Louis Edward MarbleLouis Edward Marble died in hospice care on April 5, 2017 in Tampa, Florida following complications form heart disease. He was 73.Mr. Marble was born on December 26, 1943 in Corvallis, Oregon to his parent, Cecil and Wanda (Hays) Marble. He married Bettina Marble in 1964. He graduated from Southwest Missouri High State University in 1967 and was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army and assigned to the Signal Corps. His Army career included service in the Vietnam War, two tours in Germany, and he ended his Army career with the White House Communications Agency during President Reagan's second term retiring in 1987. He went on to subsequent careers as CEO of Marconi communications, Inc., a Program Manager for EDS, Inc., and as a licensed Real Estate Agent and Broker. He was a former member of First and Cavalry Presbyterian Church in Springfield and was currently a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Tampa, Florida.Mr. Marble was a dedicated husband and father with a passion for serving his church and helping others, he was known for his generosity. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bettina of Tampa, FL; two sons, Max Marble and wife, Sandy, and Jeffrey Marbel of Tampa; two grandsons, William Marble of Lackland Airforce Base, TX, and Matthew Colon of Tampa, FL; and two granddaughters, Mariah and Cierra Preston of Tampa, FL.Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Chruch, Tampa, FL, and on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Cavalry Presbyterian Church, Springfield.
