Skilling, Lorene Mae 84, of Wichita, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015, in McCook, NE. Lorene was born on May 23, 1931, in Portis, KS, the daughter of Plano and Martha Conrad. Lorene and Charles Skilling were united in marriage 34 years. Lorene enjoyed reading, exercising and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; siblings, Hubert Conrad, Vonda Willcoxin, Herbert Conrad, Freeda Stout; son, Jeffery Jay Vandenberg. Survivors include her loving children, Linda Grubb of Derby, KS, Beverly (Pat) Garboden of Katy, TX, Laura (John, II) Murphy of Wichita, Darlene (Claud) Redden of McCook, NE; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015, with graveside services following at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS.
