Lensmeyer, Lloyd L. "Sonny"Lloyd L. "Sonny" Lensmeyer, age 79, of Kellnersville, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 26, 2017 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center with his loving family at his side following a short battle with cancer. Sonny was born on December 18, 1937 in the town of Kossuth, son of the late Leonard and Catherine (Reindl) Lensmeyer. He graduated from Mishicot High School in 1956. Following high school, Sonny enlisted in the U.S. Army serving from October 9, 1956 until October 8, 1962. On October 14, 1960 Sonny was married to the former Janice E. Satori at St. Paul Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Janice preceded him in death on June 30, 2014. Sonny was a cattle buyer and farmed in the Kellnersville area. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville.Sonny loved Milwaukee Brewer Baseball and Green Bay Packer Football. He enjoyed visiting the Oneida Casino in his spare time and visiting with his friends over a cup of coffee. Most of all he loved attending his grandchildren's extracurricular activities.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Todd (Lori) Lensmeyer, Kellnersville; one daughter and son-in-law: Dawn (Arlen) Baumann, De Pere; six grandchildren: Jason (Cara) Lensmeyer, Kenosha; Ashley Lensmeyer, Milwaukee; Sara (Dereck) Klein, Whitelaw; Kristen Lensmeyer, Kellnersville; Bryanna Baumann; De Pere; Alivia Baumann, De Pere; four great grandchildren: Abby, Gavin, Kyle and Sloane Lensmeyer, Kenosha; one sister: Marlene Paoletti, Green Bay; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Mel (Helen) Satori; John (Susan) Satori; Larry (Sharon) Satori; Clyde (Cindy) Satori; all of rural Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Sharon (Dale) Kierstein, Wheatridge, CO; Jacqui Satori, rural Manitowoc; Norman Gill, Reedsville, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Catherine Lensmeyer; his wife: Janice Lensmeyer; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: John and Gertrude Satori; one sister-in-law: Marlene Gill; and one brother-in-law: Jerry Satori. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Rev. David Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation will follow the service with burial of his cremated remains to take place at a later date in the parish cemetery.
