Lloyd Bertrum Neff, 89 of Salinas passed away, Monday, August 24, 2015. He was born May 28, 1926 in Freemont, MO. At the age of 5, he moved to Lomax, Illinois.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany and Japan before coming to Fort Ord to work in Preventive medicine. Lloyd retired from Civil Service still working in Preventive medicine.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frieda Neff.
Lloyd was an avid gardener. He loved to grow all kinds of vegetables and fruits. He enjoyed building things with his shop smith. He loved to go fishing, bowling and golfing and camping.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Carol (Ken) Hammons of Salinas, grandsons Darrin (Christina) Hammons of Citrus Heights, Michael (Lisa) Hammons of Roseville, nephew Ed (Joan) Ledford of Alabama, nephew David (Linda) Pendry of Arizona, and numerous great grand kids.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale assisted living for their excellent care and support.
