Lisa Solomatko1924 - 2013Lisa Solomatko, 89, of Kenosha, died on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.She was born on May 8, 1924, in Russia. In 1945, Lisa married Alex Solomatko in Germany. They moved from France making Kenosha their home since 1956 and were blessed with 68 years of marriage. For ten years, she was employed with the Warwick Company in Zion, Ill.Lisa enjoyed gardening, taking care of her roses and sewing for her granddaughters. Lisa is survived by her husband, Alex; her daughter, Vera Shama; her grandchildren, Tania (Kelly) Farmer, Laura (John) Schultz, Andrew (Lisa Mary) Shamakov; and her great grandchildren, Zachary and Gregory Farmer, David and Nathan Schultz, and Sigmund Shamakov.She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fedchenko. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 8635 W. Warnimont Ave., Milwaukee, Wis. Interment will follow in St. Casimir Cemetery, Kenosha. A visitation for Lisa will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thank you to Hospice Alliance, especially the nurses and aids who all took wonderful care of Lisa.
