Linda was born on December 18, 1956, in Pasadena, Ca to Marla Douglas and James McRiley. She attended Longfellow Elementary, Elliot Middle School, and graduated from John Muir High School in 1966. Home of the Mustangs! After she graduated, her love for cooking grew stronger and she decided to go into business with her mother. She opened up a restaurant in Altadena called “The Red Hen” serving the best soul food in town!In 1974, Linda and her husband, Daryl Elmore had their first daughter Avis Elmore. In the late 70’s and early 80’s Linda had 4 more children, Mecca, David, Liana and Storm. Linda was a great mother and believed in making sacrifices for her family. She taught her children that education is key, and always strive to be great!Linda loved cooking for her family, dancing with her husband,entertaining with her friends, and gardening in her spare time.On the morning of September 5, 2018, God called Linda home. Linda leaves behind her loving husband, loving children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for the joyful moments and great her great laugh. She will be our angel, always and forever.
