Lillian M. RasimowiczLived in Lowell and Dracut, MA; 89 LOWELL -- Lillian M. Rasimowicz, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA. She was a resident of Lowell and Dracut for many years, and most recently resided at Atria Marland Place in Andover, MA.She was born on June 26, 1927 in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Adelaid and Bibian Pelletier. Lillian was predeceased by her late husband, Stanley Rasimowicz.Lillian was educated in Lowell public schools, and worked many years of her life in the shoe industry. She had an exceptional work ethic and kept working well into her 70's.In her younger years, Lil loved to go dancing with her friends and was always known for her sense of humor which she retained throughout her life and was a source of joy and remembrance for those she touched.Lillian was a generous and compassionate spirit. She gave regularly to St. Judes Childrens's Hospital and to St Rita's church was she was a communicant throughout her life. She would often cook "enough for an Army" distributing food to her neighbors on a regular basis.She deeply loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving, generous mother, grandmother and friend with a kind heart, keen sense of wit and infectious smile.She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Robert Murphy, of Groton Long Point, CT; and her son and daughter-in-law, Stanley and Diana Rasimowicz of Pelham, NH. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Scott Carelli, Menlo Park, California, Melissa Carelli, Nashua, New Hampshire, Stanley (Chip) Rasimowicz and Mark Rasimowicz, Pelham, New Hampshire; and many great-grandchildren.We want to extend our appreciation to the staff of Atria Marland Place, Andover, MA, who cared for Lillian in their Life Guidance Program. Her quality of life was greatly enhanced and she made many friends of staff and residents.We especially want to thank all the caring and wonderful staff at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA. From the first day Lillian entered Hospice she was given the best of care, treated with dignity, respect and love. It was a comfort to her family knowing she was in such a wonderful place.
