November 4, 1925 - October 22, 2016Lila Butler went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas. Lila was born on November 4, 1925, in McLean County, IL, to Oscar and Lillie Brent, the youngest of five children - FOUR older brothers! Lila was married to Bobby Lee Butler, who pre-deceased her, as did their son Bob. She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews and good friends. Lila and Bobby lived in Corsicana, Texas upon his return from service in the Navy during World War II. They also lived in Dallas before settling in San Antonio in 1968. Lila worked with Fox Photo before beginning a career in real estate with Guy Chipman Company. She was very active with the Real Estate Board, and was voted REALTOR Salesperson of the year in 1991. Lila has been a member of Trinity Baptist Church since she came to San Antonio. She was a Life Deacon and worked continuously with the Missions Team. She made three mission trips to the Rio Grande Valley where she taught Vacation Bible School. She also was a member of the SonShine Singers for many years. Lila was an avid sports fan, a loyal supporter of the San Antonio Spurs and the Texas Rangers.MEMORIAL SERVICEWEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 20162:00 PMTRINITY BAPTIST CHURCH319 MULBERRYThe Rev. Dr. D.
