Lettie Jean HaggertyCarsonvilleCARSONVILLE-  Lettie Jean Haggerty, age 85, a lifelong  resident of Carsonville passed away on Saturday, September  2, 2017 at the Stonegate Village in Sandusky.     She was born on February 11, 1932 in Carsonville a daughter of the late John and Amy (Butler) Dawson.  Letttie Jean married Duane B. Haggerty on September 23, 1950 in Carsonville, the couple have been happily married for 66 years.     Lettie Jean and her sister, Annetta Barr operated the Sanilac Mutual Insurance Company in Carsonville for over 45 years.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.     She is survived by her husband Duane B. Haggerty of Carsonville; four children Michael Haggerty of Carsonville, Alan (Linda) Haggerty of Marion, Lettie Jean (Tom) Lundman of St. Clair and Lynn (Louie) Verdusco of Midland, honorary son, Arnaldo Simoes of Brazil; five grandchildren Amy Haggerty of Manistique, Scott (Rebecca) Emerson of St. Clair, Brandi Jean (Mike) Palmer of Midland, Corey Verdusco of St.Louis, MO. and Laci (Jonnathan) Resendiz of Grand Rapids; seven great grandchildren Alexander and Bradley Haggerty, Jorja Jean and Wiatt Palmer, Samantha and Katie Mary Emerson, and Mateo Resendiz.    Lettie Jean was preceded in death by her infant son Andrew Haggerty in 1968 and her sister Annetta Barr in 2014.              Visitation will be from 6-9 P.M.  on Wednesday  at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Carsonville.  Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday  at the funeral home, with visiting from 10-11.  Rev. Jerry Griggs of the Carsonville United Methodist Church will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Washington Cemetery in Carsonville.     Memorials may be made to the McLaren-Port Huron Foundation.
