Lester Wald DEERBROOK, WI Lester E. Wald passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Langlade Hospital. He was 82 years old. He was born on December 18, 1930 in Milwaukee, the son of Lester and Ann (Johnson) Wald. He married Elizabeth DeBerge on October 13, 2000 in Antigo. She survives. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Milwaukee. Les lived in Sturtevant where he worked at Wiese Motors as manager of the sales and parts department for 30 years. He retired from Nudi Suzuki in 1998 when he moved to Deerbrook. He served in the 121st Field Artillery, 32nd Division of the Wisconsin National Guard having attained the rank of Sgt. Major. He was called up to active duty during the Berlin Wall crisis. Les served the village of Sturtevant for 25 years as trustee and president. He enjoyed traveling and his time in the northwoods. Survivors including his wife are three daughters Sharon (Gordon) Wright, Racine, Sandra (Tim) Ruelle, Racine, Cynthia (Harvey) Kost, Kiel; two sons Lester Wald, Sturtevant, Timothy (Michelle) Wald, Gleason; a step-son Gerald (Tracey) Bloom, Racine; a step-daughter Lauren Bloom, Kenosha; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters Joyce (John) Jancik, Nekoosa, Nancy (Ronald) Reichert, Florida; and his former wife Patricia Wald, Racine. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Ann (Glen) Greenquist and his father Lester Wald. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home, 1550 Neva Rd. (Hwy 45) in Antigo, with Rev. Shane Wheeler officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and from noon until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences at: www.bradleyfh.com
