BURLINGTON - Leslie William Huff, Age 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was born on January 4, 1935 in Racine to Leslie and Verna (nee Weber) Huff. He spent his early life in Powers Lake and attended Wilmot Union High School. On April 14, 1956, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, Leslie was united in marriage to Rosemarie Schwartz. Following marriage, they resided in Burlington until she preceded him in death on December 19, 2000. Leslie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, United Auto Workers Local 72 and also served in the United States Army during the Korean War during the clean-up phase of the war. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved going deer and pheasant hunting and later in life enjoyed hunting grouse. He was an exceedingly clever man who enjoyed problem solving, making small improvements on his home, and crafting various things for his family. Leslie and Rosemarie were also avid travelers, visiting many places in the United States by car. When not traveling, he loved spending time with his family. Leslie is survived by his two daughters, Debbie (Christopher Tunison) Huff of Monona, WI and Kathi Giller of Chesapeake, VA. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters; Duane (Lee) Huff, Dennis Huff, Virgene Reinemund, David (Linda) Huff, and Ann (Tim) Steinbrook. He is further survived by a sister-in-law Joanne Huff and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother Marvin Huff and a brother-in-law, Richard Reinemund. Memorials have been suggested to Parkinson ’s Disease Foundation. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 26th at Noon with Reverend James Volkert presiding. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at CHURCH in the Good Shepherd Chapel from 10am until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Grace Hospice and Trinity Senior Center in Madison for their compassion and care of Leslie through this difficult time.
