LeRoy Daniel Banks was born on April 19th, 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio. To Geraldine Banks and Leroy Henderson.
He attended Cleveland Public Schools were graduated from Max Hayes High Schools. Soon after he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he received an honorable discharge for his service in 1982.
LeRoy Banks accepted Christ at a young age while attending Open door Missionary Baptist Church.
LeRoy later met and married Bernette Parker in 1987, from this union 2 daughter came forth.
LeRoy served as a deacon at St. Paul M.B.Church under the leadership of Pastor H.W.Luter.
Leroy became a member of Fifth Christian Church (DOC) under the leadership of Rev Shauna L. McGhee. Senior Pastor
LeRoy worked at Braden Sutphin Ink Company for 15 years. He also worked for Kichler Lighting Company until he became too ill to work.
LeRoy enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking breakfast, playing cards, watching westerns and his love for country music.
On December 16th, 2018, Leroy was called to his healing he leaves to cherish his memories: His wife Bernette Banks; two daughters Sheena Parker and Shaurice Parker-Banks(Brandon); Four Granddaughter London Vernon, Paris Vernon, Mahogany Vernon, and Madison Mitchell. His Mother Geraldine Banks and His father Leroy Henderson. He leaves 9 sibling Deborah Purnell, Richard Banks, Elrenia Benson (Dale) Colleen Banks, Renee Banks (Ronald) Audrey Banks, Quinton Turpin (Patricia) Andrea Turpin and Aaron Turpin a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins and friends. Leroy also had a host of adopted grandchildren.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his grandparents Sopronia Hill and Robert Lee Rice. His mother-in-law Mary Lee Parker-Landers his brother Alfred Wilson Jr
His niece and nephew Earl Purnell Jr. & Amber Denise Cornelius.
