SERDACHNY, LeonardLeonard Serdachny of Regina, formerly of Hyas, passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital on March 17, 2017, at the age of 74 years. Leonard was born on March 25, 1942 to John and Tena (Auramenko) Serdachny at Canora, SK. For 42 years, he was employed by the CRA before retiring in 2010. He enjoyed golf, curling and valued spending time with family and friends. He always loved the farm, where he spent many days in the summer and helped with the harvest every fall. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Leonard was predeceased by his father, John Serdachny, and brother, Allan Serdachny. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Carol Serdachny, children: Jonathan Serdachny, Melissa (Jaret) Lynnes, Shawna (Duane) Jenkins and grandchildren: Kali, Ava and Anna. He is also survived by his mother, Tena Serdachny, brother, Ed Serdachny, sister, Jocelyn Gogol and sister-in-law, Sonia Serdachny, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. The Serdachny family expresses many thanks to the palliative home care nurses and the doctors and nurses at Pasqua Hospital for the excellent care given to Leonard. A Celebration of Leonard's life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Leson's Funeral Home, Canora, SK, with Pastor Ron Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Stoney Creek Cemetery, Hyas, SK. A memorial gathering will be held at Regina First Baptist Church at 12:00 p.m. on May 21, 2017. Donations in memory of Leonard Serdachny can be made to Hyas Baptist Church or to the Allan Blair Cancer Clinic.
