Leland WakePEORIA - Leland R. Wake, 92, of Peoria, formerly of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at his residence.He was born on May 5, 1924, in Farmington to Richard and Viola Abel Wake. They preceded him in death.He married Phyllis Putman on July 2, 1961, in Peoria. She survives.Also surviving are two children, Debra (Stephen Dellinger of West Peoria, and Denise (the late David) Dellinger of Peoria; grandchildren, Bryan and Joab Dellinger; and three sisters, Mary Page, Judy Thurman and Marge Plumer. Four brothers, Don, Arnold, Bill and David, also preceded him in death.Leland served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. after 38 years of service. He attended First Baptist Church in Peoria.
