LeRoy N. Evans, 95Waite ParkApr. 24, 1921 - Oct. 30, 2016Private funeral services were held for LeRoy N. Evans, 95, of Waite Park who passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Burial was in St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery, Waite Park.LeRoy was born on April 24, 1921 in Waite Park to the late Bernard and Frances (Fladung) Evans.  He honorably served the U.S. Army during WWII in the European Theater.  LeRoy married Susan Berg on January 31, 1942 at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud and lived all of his life in Waite Park.   He was employed as a mechanic prior to becoming a corrections officer at the St. Cloud Reformatory where he worked for 25 years, retiring in 1975.  He was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Waite Park and the Waite Park American Legion Silver Star Post #428.LeRoy was an avid fisherman and later in life a painter.He is survived by his sons, LeRoy B. (Kathy) of New Bern, NC, Donald (Lois) of St. Cloud; 8 grandchildren;    20 great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.He was preceded in death by his wife Susan in 2011; daughter, Virginia Anderson in 2011; son, Richard in 2006; and sisters, Donna Wakley and Viola Gohman.
