Lawrence Langley, 74, of Millington, Tennessee, passed Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Lawrence was born to Jamison Langley, and Lanore Smith Langley, August 23, 1945 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lawrence graduated from Henderson High in 1966. He married Anna Gideon Langley in 1978, and they lived together in Millington. Lawrence worked at Milwood Fuel Incorp until he retired in 2017.

Lieutenant Commander (LCDR, O4) Langley served his country as a Fuel tankerman in the 4th Fleet of the Navy for 4 years.

Lawrence is survived by 5 children: James Langley (Stacey Langley), Jonathan Langley (Amanda Langley), Joey Langley, Brian Langley, and Nickie Kirby (Tony Kirby). He also is survived by 10 grandchildren.

Details: A celebration of life will be held. All family and friends are welcomed and honored. There will not be a formal funeral or viewing per wishes of the family. Lawrence always wanted to be celebrated not mourned. We are asking for there not to be any floral arrangements being sent to the VFW. Lawrence never wanted a tradition "funeral". If family and friends insist florals can be sent to the any of homes of the family members of Lawrence. In lieu of floral arrangements a donation can be made directly to your local VFW or to the Wounded Warrior Projects.
