Borchers, Lawrence "Larry"Lawrence "Larry" Borchers, 82, Texas, formerly of Green Bay, passed away on March 19, 2017 at his residence in Texas, while in the loving presence of his wife. The son of the late Nicholas and Mary Borchers was born on August 25, 1934. He was a 1954 graduate of Green Bay East High School. Larry served his country in U.S. Navy. He married Joan Steiner on October 19, 1958 and she preceded him in death on June 1, 1995. He later married Nancy Lorrig on July 6, 2001 at Resurrection Catholic Church. He worked in the Pulliam Power Plant at Wisconsin Public Service for 38 years, retiring as the Production Supervisor. He spent the last several years at Pine to Palm Resort in Weslaco, Texas. Larry loved to travel. Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Nancy, children: Wayne (Cathi) Borchers, Virginia Beach, VA; Allen (Lorrie) Borchers, Green Bay; Amy (Kenton) Gjerstad, Bardstown, KY; Mary (Glen) Vanden Boomen, Green Bay; Sue (Marc) Gerbec, Green Bay; Lisa (Steven) Dow, Edina, MN; Dennis Lorrig, Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren: Kelsey and Connor Borchers; Holly (Robert) La Plante, Liz Borchers; Benjamin (Opal) Gjerstad, Angela (Jay) Godbey, Nathan Gjerstad; Kate (fiancé Ethan) Vanden Boomen, Ryan Vanden Boomen; PFC Robert Dominic Gerbec, Sophia Gerbec; Clara, Michael, and Lindsay Dow; great-grandchildren: Aurora Gjerstad, Emma Godbey, and Grace Greer; two sisters: Lois Borchers, Green Bay; Carla (Larry) Loberger, Green Bay; nieces, nephews and cousins. Larry was preceded in death by one sister, Joanne Barrett. Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr, Allouez, on Saturday, April 1, from 9:00am until 11:00am. The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment will be held at Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
