AUGUSTA-Whiteker, Larry Richard 64, passed away on Friday May 6, 2016, at home in Augusta, KS. Larry was born on March 7, 1952 in Wichita, the son of Richard and Joanna (Morgan) Whiteker. Larry and Jackie Whiteker were united in marriage on June 24, 1972, in Haysville, KS. Together they celebrated 43 years of marriage and were blessed with their son John Whiteker in 1975. Larry and his business partner owned and operated Helten-Whiteker Construction for 39 years. Larry will always be remembered for his passion of motorcycles and love for family. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Whiteker, and sister, JoBeth Bennett. Survivors include his loving wife, Jackie Whiteker of Augusta; son, John (Shannon) Whiteker of Andover; mother, Joanna Whiteker of Wichita; brother, Mark Whiteker of Wichita; grandchildren, Cord Whiteker, Logan and Shay Montes, all of Andover; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation 6-8 p.m. with family present on Monday, May 9, 2016; Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita.
