Lanie Ruth Kyser was born on July 23rd 1929 in Clarendon,Arkansas to the late Edward Littlejohn and Beatrice Mcdonald. Lanie was educated in the Pine Bluff school system. In 1946 she was united in matrimony to Dearchie Kyser; where they settled in Detroit,MI. From this union came three children Yvonne,Deandre and Antoine.Lanie devoted her life to caring for her family. Later in life, she joined the workforce in the hospitality industry; Lanie's outgoing personality and professionalism allowed her the opportunity to interact with many “High Class” people (as she would say) in both the entertainment and sports industry; "Miss Ruth" was loved by all that encountered her.After retiring in 2001, Lanie stayed busy by volunteering at the Capuchin Monastery,being part of the Red Hat Society and participating in various activities with her senior groups. Lanie enjoyed spending time with her family, attending mass, traveling,crossword puzzles, and feeding the birds. On January 29th 2019 Lanie made her transition. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, her parents, and her two brothers Dr. Walter Littlejohn and Arthur Earl. Lanie Is survived by sister Sammie Littlejohn, sister-in-law Virginia Littlejohn three children Yvonne DeAndre(Jo Denise) and Antoine (Cheryl) along with six granddaughters two grandsons ,3 great-grandsons, 3 aunts and a host of cousins, and family friends.
