BECK, LaNEETA MARIA LaNeeta Maria Beck, 77, resident of Hawthorne, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home, on Saturday, November 5, 2016, following a long illness. Mrs. Beck was born on May 31, 1939, in Quitman, Louisiana to the late Tracie Pate and Juavyette Hess. She moved at a young age to Palatka, Florida where she attended school and lived for many years until moving to Hawthorne in 1979. She was a homemaker, who loved crafting, reading, working outside and going to yard sales. Mrs. Beck was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church, and was always active in Vacation Bible School. She is survived by her husband, Absalom Marvin 'A.M.' Beck, Jr.; six daughters, Theta Yelverton, Dionne Yelverton; Debra (Steve) Johnson, Kimma (Clay) Jarrell, Tina Renea (Leland) Sturdivant and Jennifer Beck; two brothers, Nolan Pate and Tony Pate; two sisters, Diane Junsinger and Terry Carraway. Fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 11:00 A. M., in the Woodlawn Baptist Church, 818 CR 20A, Hawthorne, with Rev. L.D. O'Steen, church pastor, officiating, and Rev. Charles Litzell, assisting. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery.
