Getlinger, LaLester R. "Les"LaLester R. Getlinger, age 71 of Neenah, passed away peacefully into the Lord's hands on Friday, May 26, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on August 5, 1945 to the late Lester and Dora (Tesch) Getlinger.Les grew up working on the family farm, enjoyed setting pins at the bowling alley, and going to dances. He then started his career at Neenah Foundry which spanned over 40 years. He enjoyed wood working, auto racing, spending time with his family, and sharing his strong Christian faith. Les was married to his first wife, Mary Jane (Brighum) for 32 years before her passing in 1997. He later married Lorraine (Hiebel) in 1998 and spent almost 17 years together before her passing in June of 2016.Les is survived by four sons: Steve (Jill) Getlinger of Neenah, Brian (Linda) Getlinger of Neenah, Mike (Kim) Getlinger of Billings, MT, Chad Getlinger of Neenah; and grandchildren: Megan, Bradley, Joey, Brianne, Max, Amelia, and Charlie Getlinger. He is further survived by his step-son Dave (Mel) Benson, step-daughter Bernie (Wayne) Benson McEvers, step-grandchildren: Gabriel, Madalyn, Dakota, Skyla; and four sisters: LaSella Wildt of Pewaukee, LaRaine Paul of Hartford, LaVada Lehman of New London, and LaDella (Oscar) Posselt of New London. Les was preceded in death by his brother LaVerne and sister LaNora.The Funeral Service for Les will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah with Rev. Tony L. McKenzie officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Les will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery.
