Roach, Kevin J. Kevin was taken from us suddenly when he was struck by a vehicle as he was crossing Opdyke Road on Monday, December 5th 2016. He was 55 years old. Kevin was born on November 14th, 1961 in Detroit to Edward and Barbara Roach, they survive him. He is also survived by his loving wife Beth Anne Roach, they were together for 25 years; loving children Michael T Mapes (Katie), Amanda Paul (Aaron) and Sarah Mapes; seven grandchildren of “The Coolest Papa Ever”, Joshua, Donovan, Jessica, Jonny, Nicole, William and Hayden; his siblings Larry (Sandra), Suzanne Morrison, Tom (Kitty), Karen (Gene McBride) and Mary Beth (Chuck Gray); his many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Rosemary VanSteelandt, and in-laws Anne and Gary Brown, Arthur and Raenu VanSteelandt, Sue Vansteelandt, Russ VanSteelandt, and many good friends. Kevin was a graduate of Walled Lake Central High School. Kevin’s visitation will be Saturday, December 10th at 1 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, Michigan with a memorial service held by Elder Marcus Perry to follow at 6 p.m. Kevin was a Journeyman in the Detroit Roofers Local 149 where he worked harder than most for over 30 years, he enjoyed getting things done, taking care of his gardens and pets and going out of his way to help anyone who needed it. He will be missed by all.
