Rosner, KennethKenneth Herman Rosner, 72, Lake Noquebay, Crivitz, passed away on April 3, 2017 surrounded by family, from a year's long battle with esophageal cancer.Ken was born on September 15, 1944, in Pound WI to the late Herman and Esther (Bednarz) Rosner. Ken graduated from Coleman High School in 1962 and married Nancy Thomson on October 22, 1966. He farmed in the Pound area his entire life and was a rural letter carrier from the Pound Post Office for 38 years, retiring in 2006. Ken's greatest love was for his family (wife, children and grandchildren). He had a true love of the land and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Ken had a quick wit and a great sense of humor.Ken was on the Maple Valley Insurance Board of Directors for 41 years, retiring in March 2017, the Lake Noquebay Lake Association Board of Directors and a member of the River Road Riders snowmobile club. He was a past member and President of the Coleman-Pound Lion's Club and The Nocturnal Adoration Society. He was also a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz.In retirement, Ken enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, attending grandchildren's events, cheering on the Packers, fishing, helping at the Crivitz Food Pantry and hobby farming. Living at the lake, Ken enjoyed the sunsets, building campfires and entertaining. Ken also took great joy in making maple syrup each spring.Ken is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Nancy; his children, Becky (Jeff) Babiarz, Green Bay, Michael (Inger), Bethesda MD, and Jeffrey (Jeannie), De Pere; eight grandchildren, Dylan, Jacob, Nathan, Matthew, Jack, Joel, Brant and his favorite granddaughter Lea. He is further survived by in-laws, Shirley (George) Yatso, Pat (Al) Carrier, Lynn (Mike) Lord, Mary (Larry) Bittner, Marian Rosner, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Ken also served as guardian for his nephew, Leroy Berkhahn.Ken was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Alma and Karen, and brothers Vernon, Roy and Howard.The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 8:30-11AM. The time of memorial service at 11 AM. Kenneth will be laid to rest at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Coleman.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Crivitz Food Panty, Crivitz Library, Cerebral Palsy, Inc.
