Neyhard, KennethKenneth C. Neyhard Sr., age 85, of Oshkosh, passed away on June 22, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on June 29, 1931 in the Town of Winnebago, a son of Clifford and Jessie Ecklor Neyhard. On October 6, 1951 he married Joann Kortbein. They were married for 61 years until her passing on June 16, 2013. He married Mary Joyce Kriege on May 6, 2017. He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He worked at Deltox Rug Factory for over 20 years, then worked as a security guard and in custodial services at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for 27 years until his retirement, and the Oshkosh City Cab Company for over 25 years.One of his biggest accomplishments is helping raise his two children. He was a BIG Packer fan and attended the 1997 Super Bowl to watch the team win their first championship in 30 years. He loved deer hunting, fishing, tying his own flies for fishing and his daily walks in the early morning at Wal-Mart. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he enjoyed singing in the church choir and Bible study. He is survived by his wife, Mary Joyce and her family: his son, Ken (Kathy) Neyhard Jr.; one daughter: Marsha Stephan; his grandchildren: Jack (Kelly) Stephan, Suzanne (Paul) DeLeeuw; great-grandchildren: Helena DeLeeuw and Willa DeLeeuw; one brother: Ralph (Esther) Neyhard; step grandchildren: Karissa(Cory) Goldschmidt and Brett(Jackie) Klotzbuecher; step great-grandchildren: Dassia, Sawyer and Jurnie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joann; his sisters: Theo, Bertha, Evelyn and Clara; a brother: Clifford Jr; son in law: Bill Stephan; and nephews Harold Weisbrick Jr, Brian Kortbein and Darrel Kortbein.Funeral services for Kenneth will be held on Thursday June 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (370 Bowen St.) with Rev. Kelly Leary officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park.A memorial has been established.The family would like to thank Hollie and Arienne from 2nd floor Fremont at St. Elizabeth's Hospital for their care, love and support of Kenneth. He will be remembered as a hard-working man who loved his family and God.
