Kenneth John GarrickKnoxville, TNKenneth John Garrick, age 81, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully in his sleep, at home with family by his side on Monday, August 14, 2017. He was born on September 5, 1935 in Amsterdam, New York to Andy and Margaret Garrick. Ken graduated from Amsterdam High School in 1953 and attended Golden State Community College. In 1957 he married Gloria Heissan and they were married for 45 years. Ken was employed as a credit manager for over 40 years and worked at CB Sports, Dempster Dumpster, Mr. Coffee and more. After retirement, Ken enjoyed spending time with his family, learning Italian, running and reading. He was very proud of the fact that he completed 12 marathons, including the New York marathon.Ken is survived by his children, Viki, Roni (Nixon), Heather and Paul; grandchildren, Andrew, Brittany, Maxwell, Oliva and Isaac. To honor Ken's wishes he was cremated and his ashes will be spread in his hometown of Amsterdam, New York. No services will be held.
