Kenneth Focht Sr.Oct. 6, 1936 - Dec. 5, 2016EDWARDSBURG - Kenneth Raymond Focht Sr., 80, of Edwardsburg, passed away Monday, December 5, at home while surrounded by his family. Mr. Focht was born on October 6, 1936, in Benton Harbor, MI, to the late Frances Elizabeth (Reynolds) Focht. He married Barbara Hamann on May 2, 1959, in St. Joseph, MI. Kenneth retired as an Engineer for Conrail, was also a Mason and a member of the Shriners in Cass County. In his younger years, Kenneth raced stockcars and motorcycles.In addition to his loving wife, Barbara, Mr. Focht is survived by two sons, Kenneth Raymond Focht Jr. and Paul (Sheryl) Focht, both of Edwardsburg; two daughters, Teri (Timothy James) Hunt of Cassopolis and Lori (Shannon) McKay of Edwardsburg; grandchildren, Kelly (Erik) Hamlin, Gwen McKay, Tiffany Focht, Nikki (Chad) Focht, Tim (Lorri) Hunt Jr., Amanda Hunt, Taylor (Chad) Schmucker, Madison McKay, Brady McKay, Josh (Kayla) Armstrong, and Devin (Josh) Armstrong; and great-grandchildren, Tyrell Hunt, Jace VanLiere, Kayden Sharp, Tim Hunt III, Ashley Hunt, and Gabriel Fortune. In addition to his mother, Kenneth was preceded in death by his adoptive father, Albert N. Focht. In keeping with his wishes, a Celebration of Life Service will commence on January 14, 2017, at the American Legion Post #365 in Edwardsburg.
