Kenneth David Krahnke, age 57, of Oscoda, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 21, 1959 in Harrisville to Charles and Doris Krahnke. Kenneth grew up in Oscoda and graduated from Oscoda Area High School in 1977. He went on to attend Lake Superior State University and Ferris State College where he earned his degree in education. Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening, building, watching sports and officiating football. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Becky; daughter, Kristen D. (Jake) Krahnke of Marysville; parents, Charles and Doris Krahnke of Drummond Island; brother, Keith (Kathy) Krahnke of Pickford; sister, Karen Bacon of Florida; brothers-in-law, Rod (Ruth) Toppi, Rick (Carol) Toppi, and Mark (Cissy) Toppi; and nieces and nephews, Jason Krahnke, Melissa Krahnke, Andrew Krahnke, Jessica Bacon, Matthew Bacon, David (Denise) Toppi, Ryan (Kristi) Toppi, Emily Toppi, Olivia Toppi, Candi Dumas and Carrie Dumas. Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Kristen L. Krahnke; and brother-in-law, Rennie Bacon. A memorial service was held on Dec. 3 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Oscoda with Reverend Richard Tino and Reverend Timothy Azzam officiating.
