Kenneth M. Covelli1942 - 2016 Kenneth M. Covelli, 74, a resident of Kenosha, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at St. Catherine's Hospital in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. Ken was born on May 12, 1942, in Kenosha to Michael and Pauline (Amerighi) Covelli. He was valedictorian of the first graduating class at the newly built Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic School and graduated from Zion-Benton High School. On Dec. 2, 1961, he was married to Mary Gammill at Holy Rosary Church. Ken worked at American Motors Corporation for over 30 years, retiring as a supervisor in Chrysler's Engine Division. Ken enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and CYC Football. He had a passion for cars and trucks and loved working on them. He took a lot of pride in maintaining his house and yard and being a do-it-yourselfer. He loved interacting with people, especially family, and took a genuine interest in their lives and well-being. Surviving Kenneth are his loving wife of 55 years, Mary, of Kenosha; son Michael Covelli of Kenosha; and daughter Lisa (Ted) Sniegowski of Mount Pleasant. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Christine (Daniel) Ingham, Stephanie Covelli, Mathieu Sniegowski and Steven Sniegowski; great grandchildren, Aubree and Emily; and sister Barbara (Mark) Phelps of Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at 12 Noon at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha, located at 2224 - 45th Street (which is the church they were married in and coincides with their 55th anniversary).
