Becker, KennethKenneth Gordon Becker age 79, of Coleman, passed away at home with his family by his side on February 20th 2017. He was born on January 24th 1938 to the late Walter and Edna (Berg) Becker. He graduated from Eleva -Strum High school in 1956 and from the University Of River Falls in 1960 with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education. After graduating from the University Of River Falls he joined the Wisconsin National Guard 32nd division and served for 3 years as a medic. He then married Gail M. Jensen on March 2, 1963 they were married for 52 years. He then returned and worked for Production Credit Association in River Falls and was transferred to Production Credit Association of Green Bay as a manager of the Coleman branch. He served 23 years on the bank's board of directors, until his retirement in 1996. Ken was a member of the Beaver American Lutheran Church and he was active in community activities including the Coleman Businessman's association, Lions Club, Coleman Village Board, Marinette County Draft Board, Tri County Bankers Association, WI Bankers Association, and WI Bankers Association Agricultural Bankers division for 6 years with his terms of treasurer, vice president and chairman. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family.He is survived by, 4 children Paul (Lorrie) Becker of Coleman; Amy (Paul) Janssen of Green Bay; Cindy (Patrick) Pozza of Green Bay; Joel Becker of Coleman. 6 grandchildren Mitchell (Kaitlyn) and Eric Becker, Sam and Erin Janssen, Marco and Olivia Pozza. 2 great grandchildren Xander and Elliana. 3 brothers, Stanley (Inez) of Eleva, Albert (Anne) of Fitchburg, David (Sonia) Eau Claire. Ken will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.He was preceded in death by the love of his life Gail and one nephew.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Unity Hospice and a special thank you to Dr. Fuchs.The family will greet relatives and friends at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home 235 East Main Street, Coleman on Thursday February 23rd from 4 P.M. - 7 P.M. and Friday February 24th at the Beaver American Lutheran Church from 10 A.M. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 A.M. with Pastor Ken Michalis and Pastor Christina Forsyth officiating.
