Keith "Koosh" PoogJune 27, 1964 - December 6, 2014Keith Poog, 50 of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello. Keith was born on June 27, 1964 in Pocatello, Idaho to Morgan Poog and Darlene Shay. He lived on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation most of his life. He also lived Pocatello. He attended the following schools: Tyhee Elementary, Hawthorne Jr. High and then he graduated from Sho-Ban Jr and Sr High School. Keith was a football player and basketball player. He was also a Sho-Ban Fire Fighter, a Security Officer, Confined Hydroblaster for FMC and a Tribal Fisheries Technician. He enjoyed spending quality time with his son, Eishah J. Poog, as well as his many friends. He was passionate about the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, camping and BBQueing.Keith was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Julia U. Shay; his paternal grandparents, Rueben Waterhouse Poog and Ella Appenay. He is survived by his father, Morgan Poog; mother, Darlene Shay Eagle; and three children he helped raise, Kelli J. Poog, Eishah J. Poog and Taniah Poog; brothers, Clinton O. Eagle, Robert W. Eagle Jr and Walter H. Eagle. There will be a viewing at Dalene Eagle's residence on corner of North Philbin and East Cemetery Roads in Fort Hall. Native Prayer Services will be held during evening hours at the home. Tribal burial services will be held on Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Cedar Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Downard Funeral Home, 241 North Garfield Ave Pocatello, Idaho.
