Kathryn Mae PorterOf Des Moines, IowaKathryn Porter, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017. She was born on January 28, 1934 to Roy and Bernice Arrowood in Des Moines, Iowa.Kathryn was a life-long Des Moines resident. She retired from Lutheran Hospital after many years of working in Central Services. Kathryn was very artistic she made beautiful porcelain dolls and loved to make crafts. She also, was a skilled gardener with a green thumb. Kathryn especially enjoyed cooking meals for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.She is survived by her children, Jack (Lupe) Eaton, William (Jennifer) Eaton, Pamela Eaton, and Janis (Les) Kopaska; step-children, LeRoy Porter, Joe Porter, and Andrew Porter; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Martin; and many other family and friends.Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Porter; parents; daughter, Judi; great-grandchild, Zachary; and siblings, Naomi Halsted and Maryanne Shineflew.Celebration of Kathryn's Life will be held at a later date.
