Katherine MedelKatherine Medel, 71, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, along side her family and close friends.Katherine was born on Nov. 10, 1944, in St. Charles, Ill., the daughter of the late Dean and June Carr. She was a graduate of Racine Park High School. After retiring from Abbott Labs as an Executive Secretary, she enjoyed her time reading, attending bible studies, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a recent member of Bethany Lutheran Church.She is survived by her children, Dan (B.J.) Stussy of Nebraska, Mike (Linda) Medel of Kenosha; her siblings Jacqueline (John) Vermillion of Ohio, Lou (Terry) Carr, Ruth (Dennis) Wamboldt, John (Nancy) Carr, Les (Nancy) Carr, Mark (Amy) Carr, all of Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Matt, Cassidy, Samantha, and Cody. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Kenosha Funeral Services from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with memorial services to follow at 6:00 p.m. Kenosha Funeral Services & Crematory 8226 Sheridan Rd.
