STEPHENS-SIDES,Katherine IreneKatherine Irene Stephens-Sides passed away peacefully on November 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 6, 1947 to A.K. & Juanita Stephens in Yakima, Washington. She graduated from Brazosport College and was honored by Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She worked as a process operator at Roche chemical. She was passionate about quilting and was an avid reader of many novels. She enjoyed fishing and the loved the beach. She was a very strong woman and always supported her family with pursuing their dreams. She is preceded in death by her parents A.K. Stephens and Juanita Stevens, her brother Leonard Stephens and her Great Granddaughter Addison Grace Martin. She is survived by Sister Roseanne Henzel and brother Robert Stephens. Her Children: Terri Judd, Lana Gravenmier, Sandra Root, Gypsy Tomlinson and James Ed Sides. Her Grandchildren: Heather Martin, Nathaniel Judd, William Mullins, Greggory Mullins, Brendan Fielding, Jacob Gravenmier, Sterling Root, Ariana Root, Emmelie Root, Damien Tomlinson, Cadillac Beaty, Wanzalee Tomlinson and Ryan Sides. Her great grandchildren: Olivia Martin, Audrey Martin, Connor Mullins and Ashlynn Mullins. The family would like to thank the staff at Texas Oncology and St. David's South Austin Medical Center who lovingly took care of Katherine in her final days. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Texas Oncology, South Austin - Compassion in Action Fund.
