Our sweet Julie fought so hard but lost her battle on Friday, June 7th, 2019 at the age of 36 while awaiting a second heart transplant.

Julie was loved by her husband, Joe Lavergne; her step-daughter, Danyka; her parents, Pat & Bill; brothers, Jonathan (Taunya MacDonald and Hazel) and David (Karen Leung and Penelope). Julie was predeceased by her brother, Christopher. She will be missed by her grandmother, Marina Moore, and her loving and supportive family.

Julie dealt with so much in her short life. She survived childhood leukemia, which led to a heart transplant at the age of 12. For the past 15 months, she required dialysis regularly. We would like to thank the staff at CHEO, The Ottawa Heart Institute and the dialysis unit at the Ottawa Civic Hospital for their dedication and support during her time as a patient. Many thanks to her employer, Costco for always being there, for her and our family. Julie had so many amazing friends over her life who have loved and supported her unconditionally.
